Position Summary:
COREONYX is looking for a Drupal Full Stack Developer with Acquia certification to be part of our dynamic team in supporting Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) for federal clients. The developer will deliver innovative solutions for improving the effectiveness, reach, and content of the website. Our team will create, migrate, implement, sustain, expand, and improve static and dynamic content to a Drupal based site, including integration with other internal and external sources. The developer will work collaboratively with the team to best realize system requirements in the Drupal platform by identifying what is best provided by Drupal and its modules, what should be customized and to implement and integrate these solutions to create a compelling experience for users.

The successful candidate will (1) be passionate for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to solving problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in PHP development, (2) have combination of back end programming skills and services with some front end knowledge, and (3) have a strong understanding of industry trends and using agile methodologies for development and deployment processes that can be used in Drupal-based systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Drupal development, programming, and configuration on custom application build and support engagements as well as deploying releases to production, testing and troubleshooting Drupal website issues
  • Keep informed on Drupal development best practices and coding standards
  • Provide timely feedback to Project Managers, Drupal Architects, and project team on the status of assigned tasks
  • Unit test assigned features to ensure proper functionality, both backend and frontend, prior to committing to the development branch pull request
  • Analyze specifications and configure Drupal features that function within the specified scope
  • Implement Drupal refactoring and optimization
  • Support design and code reviews
  • Offer technical solutions to customers and Lead Drupal Architect when unforeseen challenges occur during development sprints
  • Update Drupal sites to keep them secure and compliant with latest standards
  • Work across the software life cycle, with an emphasis on development
  • Work with other developers and team members to create an effective user experience
  • Attend meetings to discuss status of assigned deliverables and communicate estimates and changes in scope/estimation
  • Provide technical writing and expertise for ongoing documentation, such as As Built, network diagrams, ATO documentation, etc.
Qualifications:
  • US Citizen or green card holder.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, or a related field (7-10 years of relevant work experience may also be used in lieu of a college degree) and a minimum of 8 years of Drupal development experience
  • Experience with Drupal versions 8, 9, or 10
  • Must be a current Acquia Certified Drupal i.e., Acquia Certified Drupal Developer, Acquia Certified Drupal Back End Specialist, or Acquia Certified Drupal Front End Specialist (submit evidence with application)
  • Must be eager and passionate about Drupal community involvement and open source (must be able to provide drupal.org id)
  • Experience with Drupal backend development, module development, content and data migration, and configuration management.
  • Proficient in PHP, Drupal, Drupal Site Building and Administration, Drupal Custom Module Development, Drupal theming, Drupal Community Participation, Symfony, MySQL and other SQL-based databases, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS (SCSS)
  • Proficient in integrating and configuring Google Analytics
  • Expertise with Unix/Linux
  • Experience with Symfony and Twig development, REST services, cloud hosting platforms, shell scripting, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Git and Drupal development technologies such as Drush, Configuration Management, Views, etc.
  • Experience with integrating multiple applications via API and creating accessible software that meets stringent Section 508 requirements
  • Basic understanding of Decoupled Drupal architectures.
  • Experience contributing to and maintaining open-source projects.
  • Understand efficient deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of SOLR or another document-based search engine.
  • Ability to work as part of a project team as well as independently
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and take on additional parallel assignments

Preferred Tool Experience:
  • Experience with Acquia hosting, BLT (build and deployment tools) and Acquia Cloud Site Factory
  • Experience with Agile and Jira.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and Continuous Integration.

** This is a preferred hybrid-remote position located in Reston, VA.
